Elvis Movie Names Director

The King of Rock 'n' Roll gets the giant screen treatment. Author-director John Scheinfeld continues to be drawn on by RLF Victor Productions to direct Fame & Fortune, an adaptation of Elvis: Still Being Careful of economic, the 2007 biography by former Presley bodyguard Sonny West and biographer Marshall Terrill.our editor recommendsElvis Presley Estate Sues to recuperate Ring-tone RevenueElvis Presley Appreciated at Graceland Memorial The project will start casting at the end of fall with track of a 2012 theatrical release, which may coincide using the 35th anniversary of Presley's dying. Elvis made an appearance in 27 movies within the sixties, but his existence story hasn't been the topic of a large-screen biopic. Presley, however, continues to be the topic of documentaries and telefilms, such as the Jonathan Rhys Meyers-starring Elvis (2005) along with a 1979 project through the same title that starred Kurt Russell and was directed by John Contractor. Biopics about other chart-topping stars of Presley's era make for box office gold (and critical praise) recently, including Ray (2004) about Ray Charles and Walk the road (2005) about Johnny Cash. Scheinfeld authored and created the documentaries Who's Harry Nilsson (Why Is Everyone Talkin' About Him?) and also the U.S. versus. John Lennon. Younger crowd executive created the Showtime documentary Beautiful Dreamer: John Wilson and also the Story of 'Smile' and also the PBS documentary Rosemary oil Clooney: Girl Singer.
