Josh Hutcherson Prepares for any Pounding in Senior High School Slasher Detention

Frederick Kahn's Detention had me from the first knowingly self-aware trailer, even though word from SXSW was polarizing -- an appreciation it or hate it type of deal, by many people accounts -- it's certainly one of my more anticipated films from the spring. True, your competition this year is not too stiff, but nonetheless! Watch Josh Hutcherson (of next several weeks The Hunger Games, possibly you've probably heard from it?) like a cute hipster kid prepare to consider a beating in the school tough guy while a real killer runs rampant through town and let me know this is not worth wearing the calendar for April. Here's the film's full trailer, to provide you with a feeling of what we are set for. Of course, the nonstop popular culture references schtick continues to be almost fully exhausted right now but good, clever senior high school comedies never get old. Refer to it as Not Another Not Another Teen Movie, for a momentOrshould. Contributing to the intrigue: Detention was shot six months before Hutcherson was cast as Peeta within the Hunger Games, therefore the timing of release here's apparent. Will Hunger Games fans flock towards the R-ranked horror comedy to determine a brand new side of Hutcherson with what might be the edgiest/pitch-dark/ballsiest project since he finished family movies? Detention is going to be launched in choose theaters on April 13. [via Badass Digest]
